Important Information

In response to the extraordinary circumstances in which we find ourselves at the present time, the Bishops of England and Wales have lifted the obligation for the faithful to attend Mass on Sundays and Holydays of Obligation for the duration of the pandemic.

Welcome to the Parish of Mary Immaculate

Our Parish cluster incorporates three local Catholic Churches; Our Lady of Lourdes in Mountain Ash, St. Joseph’s, Aberdare and St Therese of Lisieux in Hirwaun. All three Churches are in the Cynon Valley , South Wales. You and your friends are always welcome to come and join us for Mass and Services.

Our Priest is Rev Canon Edward O’Connell.

Mass Times

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the central act of the Catholic faith. The Church describes it as: “The source and summit of the Christian life.”

Masses are celebrated at St. Joseph’s, Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Therese of Liseux at the following times each week.

Saturday – Vigil Mass 5.30pm , Mountain Ash

Sunday – 9.00am in Hirwaun and 11.00am in Aberdare
