Being part of the Church is just coming to Mass on Sunday, right? … If you believe that then you are missing out on what it means to be Church. We are a family who worships together yes, and we do some good works for good measure, but actually we are a family that celebrates together as well!
Being part of a Christian Community also means that we do socialise! Over the year a number of events are made available to our community ranging from simple parties to coach trips. For example, one of our popular trips is a day out to the Bath Christmas Market. Our social activities are not limited to members of our parish, often people from the wider community also join us, an opportunity for evangelisation through example!
What they do
Our social/fundraising groups plan and co-ordinate the social events of the parish. They also plan events aimed purely at raising funds for the upkeep of the parish. The frequency of their meetings varies according to the calendar and what events are lined up. They also run the events on the day itself.
